Golden Reins Equestrian Center, Lebanon Pennsylvaina
Confidence . Communication . Trust

At Golden Reins we like to think of our horses more as partners that we build relationships with. We start using rhythm and relaxation to develop both the horse and the riders skills. As our horses progress we challenge them in other areas such as straightness and balance to enable their ability to perform at an athletic level. Our goal is to become friends with them by gaining thier trust. This creates a more relaxed, and willing horse. We do not rush our horses into performing with quick fixes but dig deeper to find the whys, whats, hows, and whens in riding.

Our teaching reflects what we ourselves have experienced. The first horses we ever owned we not professionally trained, in fact some not trained at all. So with little experience on both sides, the horse and rider, we began our journey into the horse world. It was a long bumpy road and finally our mother decided for our safety to find a place for us to take lessons. We grew both as riders and as people and along with creating safer horses came responsibility and hard work. These are the principles we desire to teach our students. Most students riding at GR will not only know how to ride the basics but understand how horses work and think, and when problems arise will be able to fix them.
